Enjoy your stay at Mario’s Place, where you can meet the hilarious and island-famous Mario (and his adorable son, Henrique), an Adara local who started the first accommodation option in his village in 2016 and was instrumental in creating the tara bandu marine protection systems around the island. You can ask to be introduced to the world-famous wawata topu, the women freedivers of the island. From Adara, you embark on beautiful coastal walks and explore nearby Atekru, Iliana, Doro, or Vatuu.
