Iliana is a small, lesser-known village nestled in the western hills of Ataúro. It is possible to reach from Bikeli, either walking for 3-4 hours or via a motorbike transfer, or from Beloi. Iliana is divided into two parts—the main village, located in the hills with a breathtaking view of the ocean, and the beach, with several small shacks which locals store fishing gear in. Both of these places are worth visiting, but if you want to stop for a five-star lobster lunch, head to the main village and contact Carlos Alves (+670-772-81721). His lovely family can prepare a local meal, while he takes you to visit the beach and coral reef after several fresh coconuts.
