Dili Weekend Getaway – Underwater Legends of Atauro

Over a three-day weekend from the busy bustle of Dili life, do so much more than just scuba dive and hang out in your hammock—although there will be plenty of that as well! Arrive in Beloi and immediately check into your beach bungalow of choice, where you will stay and eat for the next 3 nights. Complete two afternoon dives and prepare yourself for day two, where you will explore down the East coast of the island and meet the traditional boat makers of Makili—you can choose this as a day hike, with beautiful vistas of the mountains, or a boat ride. On your final day venture further north to the white sand beach of Akrema and visit the Cave of the Dead, learning about the history of the burial place from a local guide. If you are a family or have young children, this is an excellent tour to do to introduce your kids to the history and culture of the island while still exploring the reefs.

Day 1: Arrival in Beloi and check in to your dive resort. 2 afternoon dives.

Day 2: Explore the East coast of the island for either a day tour to Makili or a sunset cruise. For the adventurous, hike with a private guide to Makili.

Day 3: Relax at your resort, or choose from one of ATKOMA’s many guided Day Tour options to explore more of the island.

Day 4: Return to Dili
