Welcome to Barry’s Place. Relax and unwind in beachfront thatched bungalows set among lush tropical gardens. All meals are included during your stay within a spacious open-air restaurant. A true eco-resort, Barry’s Place was designed with sustainability in mind, utilizing traditional construction techniques and locally-sourced building materials. It also has measures integrated into daily operations to reduce energy and water consumption and support local community projects. Living for over 20 years in Timor-Leste, Barry himself is a local legend and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. He can help you organize anything imaginable to best enjoy your time on the island, so don’t hesitate to ask. While it’s easy to get sucked into the secluded paradise that is Barry’s Place, be sure to trek up to Vila and eat at Manukoko Rek or shop at Boneca de Ataúro, or make the trek over to Adara to stay at Mario’s Place–there is always more to explore!

Policies

  • Check-in time: 11am – 12 noon, Check-out time: 10am.
  • Cabin accommodations: US$55 per person per night. Cost includes 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), tea, coffee and snacks.
  • Children 4-12 years of age are half price (includes meals).
  • Children under 4 years of age are free.
