It would be a great loss if you are on vacation in Timor-Leste and do not enjoy the stunning seascape of the world’s most biodiverse marine life in Ataúro Island. If you do not previously hold a scuba diving certification, do not fear: you can gear up and take the plunge safely with only a few hours of instruction beforehand, with an experienced instructor or guide by your side the whole time. If you don’t have the time or interest in getting fully certified, a PADI Discover Scuba Dive allows you to experience the underwater world at minimal cost and time, so you can go back to relaxing on the beach following your underwater exploration. Your chosen dive shop is ready to teach the safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of PADI professionals.

Your island dive resort will provide all the basic scuba gear including mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and tank. The course assures that a visitor will learn key skills that are necessary during every scuba dive, have fun swimming around and exploring the most pristine reef in the world–if you love your experience, you can continue on to take the PADI Open Water Course and become a fully certified scuba diver.
