Ataúro is one of the best places on the entire planet to become a certified Scuba Diver. Not only will you be able to explore the most pristine and biodiverse reefs on earth at a comfortable depth of 18 meters, but you will also be plunging into perfect learning conditions that make your Open Water experience easy and enjoyable. It typically takes 4-5 days to complete your Open Water Course, but if you are short on time this course can be shortened slightly to ensure you get the most out of your vacation.

You will stay at one of the amazing dive resorts located on Ataúro, where all meals and accommodation are included in the price of the package. Spend the first few days reviewing the materials and taking classes from experienced PADI Instructors to understand the theories and necessary safety precautions behind scuba diving, and then get ready to take the plunge! You will start off slowly by completing safety skills and training in the sandy shallows of the island, then venture out deeper into the outer reefs of Ataúro, where you will be in constant awe of the colors and diversity of life around you.
